A few thoughts for today while drinking my morning coffee.

Sabbatical

I need one.
I so want to conceptualize in my studio with no distractions and create. 
Except for the garden,
A distraction I can live with.
Growing and storing food to feed us through the year.
I am taking the month of August off from teaching privately.
My studio is going to become a jungle.
I clean my studio once a week so students have space to come on in and work.
Very excited!
I still will be working in an art therapy capacity with the residents at the retirement community.

Summer

Can I bottle the essence, for winter relief, like you bottle jam preserves?

Clay

Manipulating and molding the clay to spring forward with substance from your hands.
How far can you push the clay before everything crumbles?

 CLASS INFORMATION

4 week clay class begins next week.
The schedule for Tuesday evenings is as follows:
July 9^th-30^th 6:30-9:00. 
The 4 week session will cost $100.00 ($25.00 a session).  Signing up for the 4 weeks will help to maintain equipment and material usage even if you miss a class. 
After summer session, classes will resume to 6 week sessions in September.
Materials and activities include white stoneware clay and several glazes.  Handbuilding and wheel throwing with the clay.  And, various tools to work with.  Basic skills are learned in order for you to independently grow into your own ideas.
Anyone wishing to mop floors, recycle clay and clean tools wheels etc… for additional studio time is encouraged to email theresayondo@gmail.com to request more information .  As always, thank you for your continued support in keeping clay work alive.

THIRD THURSDAY’S

My studio will be open on the third Thursday evenings of the summer months from 6-8.  So stop on by any of the following dates in the summertime to purchase work for your collection or for a gift.  Or, stop by for a visit and check out what is going on in the studio.  It also may be a nice time to sit and hang out on the back porch a bit!  Email theresayondo@gmail.com for directions.
